It's my life.....

My life is funny, adventurous, busy and interesting. It's full of laughter, love, kids and animals. I am a wife, mother to both kids and pets. I have two cats, three birds and three dogs, one of which is a therapy dog. I love feathering my nest and creating inviting spaces both indoors and out. I dabble in gardening and love when it all comes together. I love learning new things and have a passion for thrifting, junking, bargain hunting and finding ways to fix up, upcycle, recycle and repurpose my finds. I am a huge believer of following your dreams and creating a life you love~I am following my life long dream of attending law school! Every day I try create a positive life force by making sure what I put into the world helps make it a better place. A kind word or gesture can make a difference, and I want to make a difference each day. I choose to live life to the fullest and I hope you will join me~ Loretta

Re-purposing a door

New life for an old door

The Dining Room: all re-purposed furniture!

This hutch was a thrift store find and was originally the color  shown inside the door below

The entire hutch was this dark drab color

I painted it a flat white and distressed it after paining.  The hardware is original.

The finished room.  Re-purposed table and hutch.

Dining Room before and after re-purpose

Before

Furniture was painted white with country style bows stenciled

After:  black spray paint with a new fabric covering

Table was also white, but I didn't take a "before"  After paint I distressed

A garage sale find, transformed into my dining room style!

The finished product!

A Girl's Best Friend

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, and while I love to sparkle as much as the next girl, I think it's pretty hard to deny the power of a four legged furry best friend.  I have three.  They bring me so much joy each and every day.  They show unconditional love and to make them happy all they need is to spend time with you.  I cannot explain the bond, but it is deep and sweet.
